Our lead, Coretta Research, expects FIFA World Cup broadcast revenues to hit a record $8.9 billion. But the same analysis points to a weaker rights market with values and deal volumes both moving down. For broadcasters, it is a blunt signal premium sports still scales globally, but the economics are getting harder to price. In M&A, the European Commission is investigating foreign investments tied to the Warner Bros. Discovery Paramount transaction.
